Screening of “In the name of the father” at Sabot in Thessaloniki
“In the name of the father” will be screened on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, at 19:00 at the Sabot Libertarian Space, 2 Gkarmpola Street, in Thessaloniki's Bit Pazar. The event includes a bar and printed material, with free admission and optional donations.
The screening has been announced by the Solidarity Fund, and the event's listed hours are 19:00–20:00.
Based on true events, the film tells the story of the Guildford Four, who were wrongfully convicted of bombings in England and cleared years later. It focuses on the story of Gerry Conlon and his family.
“Inside an English Prison”, Raymond McLaughlin's prison diary, published by the Prisoners' Solidarity Fund, will be available at the venue, along with other printed material. According to the announcement, the book is connected to the film through the author's encounter with the Guildford Four in English prisons.
