Privacy & cookies
What data Jumpship keeps, why, and how you control it.
What we store
- Account (only if you sign up): name, email and a hashed password, or your Google sign-in. Used only for logging in, comments and votes.
- Comments and votes you leave. Comments are public.
- Error reports: your message and, if you give it, your email. We keep a one-way hash of your IP address only to prevent abuse.
Cookies and local storage
- Necessary: a login cookie (only if you log in) and preference cookies for the news mood and language. Your theme and cookie choice are stored only in your browser.
- Statistics (only with your consent): Google Analytics 4, for anonymous visit statistics. It does not load unless you click “Accept”, and you can change your mind any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Who we work with
- Cloudflare: delivers the site securely (HTTPS).
- Google: Analytics (only with consent) and Google sign-in (only if you use it).
- PayPal: only if you donate, on its own page.
The AI that writes articles only processes the public texts of the sources, never readers' data.
