The Municipality of Ilioupoli is once again organising a film workshop for amateurs over 18 who are interested in the art and techniques of cinema and television. The coordinator is director Dimitris Sofianopoulos, who has served as vice-president of the Greek Film Centre and director-general of television at ERT.
The workshop aims to familiarise participants with the language of cinema, develop creative skills, encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas, and help group members make short films.
Sessions begin on 14 October 2026 and end on 16 June 2027, taking place every Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:00 at the Media Lab of Ilioupoli Municipal Library, 18 Nikomachou Street, Kato Ilioupoli (tel. 210 99 40 699).
Participation is free, but advance registration is required. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
