Study: screen time not consistently linked to problems in children
An analysis of the Growing Up in Scotland study found no consistent relationship between screen time and emotional or behavioral difficulties in children aged 5 and 10 after accounting for family factors. At 15, teenagers who played video games for five or more hours a day were more likely to have elevated difficulties, while those who used social media for at least an hour were less likely.
