Part I, titled “From May to October”, is a 2022 production by the blog katrami. It covers Christos Kasimis’s early years, his participation in the Paris uprising and his involvement in the “20 October Movement”, up to 1974. It includes accounts from people who knew his family, discussing the French May and the dictatorship in Greece.
According to the announcement, the event marks 49 years since the death of Kasimis, who was shot by a police officer on the night of 19 October 1977 during an action by an ELA subgroup at AEG’s facilities.
The screening will take place at 2 Riga Palamidou Street in Psyrri, near Monastiraki station. A discussion with the filmmaker will follow. The calendar lists the event time as 21:00–22:00, while the documentary’s stated running time is 1 hour and 41 minutes.
